The Company

Elcot Publications Ltd was established in September 1993 and its principal activities are business magazine publishing and event management.

Elcot Publications was formed 18 years ago because there was a gap in the Thames Valley market for a quality publication that accurately reported the major business events in the area, that profiled the leading businessmen and women, and that acted as a platform for regional businesses to talk to each other.

Publications

Elcot Publications publishes The Business Magazine, an independent magazine for directors and senior business executives throughout the South. There are two editions: Thames Valley, and Solent/South Central. Ten issues a year are published (there are joint issues in December/January and in July/August) of each edition.

The magazine combines quality editorial content and design with advertising. Regular editorial features cover Finance, Law, Accountancy, Technology, Deals, Property, People, Motoring, etc.

The magazine is a business-to-business publication used in a pro-active way by companies eager to find out what is happening in their locality and to follow up important sales, marketing and promotional leads that lie within its pages. Research shows that an average of 4.6 people read every copy, equalling a total readership of some 53,000 across the South.

Although the magazine carries a cover price, it is distributed free of charge (to the reader) by Royal Mail Presstream and TNT direct to the desks of its readers every month. In addition, copies of the magazine are available each month in top hotels, business centres and at Southampton International Airport.

Digital Edition

In September 2010 The Business Magazine launched a Digital Edition covering the south and south east.

The edition has a new design and separate content to the printed editions.

It can be accessed through our website, and a monthly alert about the content of this Digital Edition will be sent to our registered reader database.

An App is also available from the Apple AppStore. Simply download this free onto your iPad or iPhone to read the latest issue or any back issue.

Web Presence

The Business Magazine (printed editions) is also published each month in a PDF online version available on this site. It can be viewed in a page-turning PDF format, downloaded, searched, and printed.

Business news stories are added daily to our businessmag.co.uk website, providing a constantly updated source of information for companies across the south. You can use the Search button to look for any article or company, and quickly find your chosen subject.

Each week, we also email out to a selected readership of about 2,000 business leaders an update of the latest news stories that have appeared on this website. If you would like to be added to this email-shot, send your details to Steve Banbury at production@elcot.co.uk

Social networking

The Business Magazine is available on LinkedIn and Facebook. You can comment about the magazine, the website, our events or any matters of interest to businesses in the region.
