Deals Awards go from strength to strength in 2013

17/04/2012

I am delighted to announce that, in 2013, The Business Magazine, as organiser of the Thames Valley and Solent Deals Awards, plans to have two separate events – covering the Reading and Southampton-based corporate finance communities.
This news has been really well received by the major CF players in the region – banks, law firms and accountants. While one event covering the whole south has been a big success, we- and, more importantly, you –  feel the market has improved enough to revert to two awards nights from 2013.

The Thames Valley Deals Awards will be held in Reading at a date to be set in the spring, while the Solent Deals Awards will be staged in Southampton in early summer.

One law firm told me: “This is good news. The Southampton corporate finance community is mature enough to warrant its own awards night, and it will be good to have firms competing with other firms on patch.”

And an advisory firm in the Thames Valley added: “It makes sense to go back to two events, as there are deals that are specific to the two areas, and both nights will be great networking events for the local teams.”

More news on this will be announced shortly after this year’s Deals Awards which, of course, take place at Oakley Hall, Oakley, near Basingstoke, next week….See you there!
