Axell Wireless, a Chesham-based telecommunications company, is to be presented with the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2009 by HRH Duke of Gloucester in recognition of its 70% export rate.
 
Axell Wireless is one of the leading global manufacturers of mobile coverage systems. It is also ranked number one in the public safety market. The company’s products deliver radio coverage for the emergency services in variety of challenging environments such as underground train networks including the Barcelona Metro. Its products also enable mobile phone users to communicate in some of the world’s largest structures including Heathrow Terminal 5, solving the problems associated with poor mobile reception in large buildings.
 
HRH Duke of Gloucester will be welcomed by the Mayor Chesham to Axell Wireless’ offices and factory at 2pm on March 31, 2010. Following his arrival and introductions to the Axell Wireless team, a tour of the production areas will take place.
