Blazon, the High Wycombe-based design company has recently launched a specialist marketing division called Vickery Marketing.
This was initiated in response to the apparent need within the SME market for a more relevant, realistic and action based marketing system that would take the mystique out of marketing.
Developed by John Jantsch, award-winning small business expert, author and creator of the Duct Tape Marketing System in the US, Vickery Marketing is the first and only company to adopt and offer the Duct Tape Marketing hybrid coaching/consultancy model in the UK.
Director Andy Vickery said: “After working in design and marketing for 25 years, when I read the book Duct Tape Marketing, I had an ‘aha’ moment. This is what I’d been looking for. Most small companies have an accounts system, admin system, ordering system, but no marketing system, which is probably the most important aspect of any business. I went out to Kansas and met John and decided the system was perfect for small businesses in the UK.”
The system helps companies determine who their ideal customers are and what their core difference is.
This is then used as a basis for development of a thorough and innovative marketing plan that companies can run in a systematic, joined-up way – no more ‘idea of the week’ syndrome.
Vickery Marketing is already working with several clients offering their new service on a coaching/consultancy basis and as an outsourced marketing service. It also provides a useful ‘tool’ for corporate branding or re-branding.
Celebrating 25 years in business this year, Vickery has worked with many leading brands over the years including BMW, Hasbro, Apple, Denon, SEBO and Glaxo.
