Hampshire: Altitude invests in The Care Division
Altitude Partners, the regional private equity fund based in Hampshire, has invested in The Care Division, the Poole and Southampton provider of domiciliary care, in a £2.25 million transaction.
The funding has allowed the business to restructure its shareholder base and to invest in innovative new technology.
The Care Division (TCD) has a particular focus on providing a Supported Living service for adults with Learning Disabilities, helping them to live happy and rewarding lives as part of their local community. TCD provides direct one to one support directly to many individuals as well as through large organisations, including the Hampshire and Wessex Autistic Societies, local authorities and NHS Trusts.
TCD supports clients across a range of requirements, with many requiring 24/7 support. TCD’s subsidiary Care-Ability Training provides accredited training to carers in this specialist area and is also experiencing increasing demand.
Stephen Piper, managing director of TCD, commented: “We are enjoying rapid growth as more people are choosing to move into their own accommodation and we provide both transition and ongoing 24/7 support in this special time for them. Altitude’s support and backing allows us to continue to supply the best service for these clients and invest in developing our services further.”
Simon White of Altitude commented: “TCD has a very special and visionary approach to providing domiciliary care and this is reflected in the high percentage of contracts it wins and retains. We are delighted to back Stephen and his team in this exciting phase of their growth.”
Jonathan Simm of Altitude commented: “Our approach is to seek well run established businesses like TCD who have a clear strategic plan to deliver capital growth. The private investors who invest in the Altitude One LP fund, benefit from our unique investment structure, our deal flow and our ability to invest, monitor and manage such investments. Altitude One LP has made the investment into TCD and remains open for High Net Worth individuals to join for a further five months."
High Net Worth individuals commit a minimum of £150,000 to Altitude One LP, which is then investing in amounts of between £500,000 and £3m into a portfolio of established regional businesses with potential for strong capital growth.
Potential investors can contact Altitude Partners at enquiries@altitudepartners.co.uk or call them on 023-8030-2006.
Altitude will invest in companies to enable organic growth, growth through acquisition and to help existing management teams undertake management buyouts.
