Southampton: Demand for Southgate sites?
Administrators at Begbies Traynor, called in after the Southgate Group collapsed this month, believe it will find some buyers.
While all employees at the Group’s centres in Southampton, Poole, Andover, Winchester, Romsey, Bridport and Blandford, have lost their jobs, the sites may be acquired.
Administrator Julie Palmer, from Begbies Traynor, maintained that the Goup had been a well-run company that was a victim of the slowdown.
Cars were removed from the Group’s showrooms across the south, as the £40 million turnover business was forced to stop trading.
The Group operated Mitsubishi, Subaru and Peugeot dealerships.
