The Goose at Britwell Salome, near Watlington, will close its doors for good after owner Paul Castle said the downturn made the business "unfeasible".

The Michelin-starred restaurant shut after head chef Ryan Simpson walked out a few months ago, but reopened again after a refurbishment.

But Castle said the venue was undone by its remote location and the tough economic climate.
