Von Essen, the hotel group, has announced it will spend £8 million refurbishing bedrooms at Cliveden, the luxury hotel near Maidenhead.
The group also plans to restructure its culinary team following the departure of executive chef Chris Horridge.
Next month, Horridge will leave the hotel at Taplow after just one year in charge of the renowned Waldo's restaurant.
Cliveden has three restaurants - Waldo’s, the Terrace Dining Room and the Cliveden Club Restaurant.
Von Essen plans to revamp its 38 bedrooms as well as public areas including the restaurants.
A planning application has also been drawn up to build a luxury spa on site - to compete with nearby hotels such as Stoke Park and Pennyhill Park.
