Corporate specialist David Bright has joined the company commercial department at Moore Blatch Solicitors.
He joins former colleague Simon Arthur who the Southampton-based firm appointed as partner just three months ago. Both have been recruited from the M4 firm Horsey Lightly and will play an integral part in the team’s plans for the future.
Head of the Moore Blatch corporate team Roger Bailey commented: “The volume of work we have secured over the last 12 months has allowed us to expand the corporate team with the addition of two high calibre candidates.
“We believe this serves as a positive testament to the quality of work we are completing, especially when others are looking to reduce their size.”
Bright has extensive corporate experience – recent deals have included a £32 million sale of an insurance company and a £30m sale of a plc property company.
Based at the firm’s Southampton office, Bright will undertake corporate work, including mergers and acquisitions, management buy outs, partnership matters and business restructuring.
He commented: “I am absolutely delighted to be at Moore Blatch. I look forward to building on my existing experience and am very keen to develop my contacts locally.”
A talented musician, Bright definitely has more than one string to his bow; he is lead singer and guitarist of a band which frequently performs at weddings and events. In March he will be performing at a Newbury festival to help raise funds for aid work in India.
Bright is also an enthusiastic sportsman and plays football, as well as other sports regularly. He uses his athletic talent to also raise money for charity and has already successfully completed a 60 mile cycle ride from Newbury to Bath and the Three Peaks Challenge.
