This year, our special guest speaker was Lord Lamont, who was chancellor of the exchequer during the last recession. He spoke to the audience at the gala awards evening about the current economic crisis, and prospects for the future, and presented the awards to our winners.
Nearly 300 business people attended the gala awards night, held at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, Madejski Stadium, Reading.
The event also helped a good cause – with £2,650 being raised on the night for the Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust.
