Bournemouth: Terence O'Rourke finalist for prestigious award
Terence O’Rourke has been nominated for a prestigious industry award. The multi-award winning consultant is finalist in the category for the Employer Award for Excellence at the Royal Town Planning Institute’s (RTPI) Awards for Planning Excellence 2017.
The RTPI Awards are the most established and respected awards in the UK planning industry. Running for 40 years, they celebrate exceptional examples of planning and the contribution planners make to society.
Terence O’Rourke, based in Bournemouth and London, has been recognised for this year’s RTPI ceremony after its excellent work in investing significant time and resources into learning and development initiatives for staff, known as the Practice Development Group.
“We are delighted to be on the shortlist at this prestigious award’s ceremony,” Tim Hancock, managing director of Terence O’Rourke, said. “We believe that by investing in staff development we are able to remain as a leader in our field while also being able to secure the best employees.”
Stephen Wilkinson, president of the Royal Town Planning Institute, said: “The finalists represent some outstanding contributions to planning which are making a positive impact for the community and environment. The judges will find it difficult choosing the winners given the high calibre of entries this year.”
Winners will be announced during a ceremony held at The Barbican, London on June 15.
