David Simpson has been appointed tax partner at chartered accountants Haines Watts and joins the team covering the offices of High Wycombe, Berkhamsted and Aylesbury. He will be assisting clients across Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.

The combination of ever-increasing tax complexity combined with a less tolerant tax administration is making it increasingly difficult for the non-specialist to navigate their financial affairs.

Simpson explained: “Company owners are looking for a genuinely partner-led relationship, which provides easy and confidential access to a wide range of financial expertise for them. I’m delighted to join Haines Watts at an exciting time in the growth of their business in Bucks & Herts and look forward to providing the personal contact which so defines our interaction with clients.”

Simpson previously worked for both BDO and EY and has significant experience of tax structures and planning on corporate transactions. He’ll be able to offer a range of advice on corporate, income and international taxation.

Kapil Davda, a partner at the Haines Watts' High Wycombe office, commented: “We’re very pleased that David has joined our team to strengthen our existing tax service. His experience and thorough, pragmatic approach will keep our clients' tax affairs on an even keel and he’ll also add value by assisting with tax recoveries and complex planning.”
