Legal firm Manches LLP has opened a new office in the heart of Reading's business district.
For the past two decades, the firm's Oxford lawyers have been advising some of the region’s best known companies, gaining local knowledge and working alongside the leading dealmakers.
In 2007, Manches was part of the winning team that claimed the Thames Valley Deal of the Year Award for the sale of the Rowse Honey business to Wellness Foods and advised on the refinancing by HSBC of the Four Pillars Hotel chain, one of the largest banking deals in the Thames Valley.
Clients and intermediaries have welcomed the greater accessibility that having a local presence provides. Manches local client list includes Black & Decker, Peter Brett Associates, Siemens plc, The Sunlight Service Group and Thames Valley Housing Association.

The new office is located in Davidson House, Forbury Square. With a base in Reading, the firm can forge closer links with the local business community.
It is integrally involved in the Thames Valley Economic Partnership, participating in several of their initiatives including running an event as part of the iFestival in November 2008 to promote regional innovation.
The firm is also a member of the Thames Valley Life Sciences Network, CORENET (Corporate Real Estate Network) and the National Microelectronics Institute (for whom we provide a members’ legal helpline). Manches' lawyers also have close contacts with SEEDA, Thames Valley First, STiR, the Thames Valley Commercial Lawyers Association and Lawyers in Commerce and Industry.
