Southampton-based business and financial adviser Grant Thornton has recruited James Antell as a Transaction Advisory Services executive, as part of its growing corporate finance team.
Antell, who lives in Bournemouth, joins Grant Thornton from Barclays plc, where he's been involved in internal audit. Before that, he worked for Kimco, managing the export of branded pharmaceutical and consumer products to East and West Africa, for blue-chip companies in the UK.
"Working for Grant Thornton is going to give me the opportunity to combine my financial and commercial expertise," explained Antell, who was also attracted to the firm by its strength of brand and excellent reputation. "The firm's specialism in mid-market transactions made the firm a good fit for my skills and experience."
Antell is the latest addition to the corporate finance team at Grant Thornton, thriving under the leadership of partner Simon Davies. Earlier this year, the team were nominated as Corporate Finance Team of the Year at the Solent Deal Awards. Davies commented: "I'm delighted that we've got a team in place that really is going from strength to strength. Now, with James on board, we have additional resource to undertake due diligence work for our clients. This absolutely further enhances our service offering." |
