Nanoco Group, an integrated manufacturing business delivering personalisation and customisation solutions to global brands, has moved to new premises as part of expansion plans supported by NatWest.

The company has received finance from NatWest to purchase and fit-out new, customised headquarters in Farnham, Surrey. The larger facility will equip the business with the capability to increase production and will prepare it for a new phase of growth.

Nanoco will also be able to grow its employee base. The company employs 33 people in the UK, the majority of whom live locally. Employing young people from the area is an important element of the company’s commitment to the community in which it operates.

The expansion will provide a vital boost to the company’s exporting capacity. Currently, 96% of Nanoco’s £11 million turnover is driven by exports to Europe, China, India, Korea, Australia, plus North and South America.

Peter Woodd, Nanoco’s Global CEO, said: “We are delighted to be expanding our capacity and launching our next phase as a business. As we grow, we will increase the amount of products we export. This is vital for us and we hope it will prove to be a major driver of the local economy. At the same time, we look forward to hiring more employees, particularly those who are younger and looking to increase their skills base in a very competitive market.

“NatWest has been a part of our business from the very beginning. It’s a great relationship.”

Established in 2006, Nanoco Group is comprised of four businesses. These manufacture the technology used in personalised phone cases, provide digital platforms for photo-gifting sites and deliver personalisation solutions to white label brands globally.

IDT Systems, the group’s manufacturing and technology hub, was recently awarded the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise.

Andrew Kettle, NatWest senior relationship manager, said: “Nanoco Group produces and exports truly top-quality products, using cutting edge techniques and high-end technologies. Nothing rivals it in this space and we are very proud to have been able to fund its growth. IDT Systems’ recent award is testament to the group’s capabilities, and the new global opportunities on the horizon for Nanoco mean the future looks very bright indeed.”
