Guildford: UKTI to host export advisers for local firms
Export experts from British embassies in Vietnam, Spain and Switzerland are visiting Guildford during the summer to advise local firms keen to do business in those markets.
The South East regional office of UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) will play host to the three experts who will be discussing the current business opportunities in their countries and offering one-to-one advice.
The first event in the series takes place on June 21, with senior trade and investment adviser from Vietnam, Le Hanh Le. She will provide specialist advice on the financial sector, transportation and the creative industries.
On July 2, Belinda Coombes, director of trade and investment based in Madrid, is keen to meet with firms from the education sector.
Then on July 3, Eleanor Baha, trade attaché from the British Consulate-Geneva, Switzerland, will be giving a general introduction to supplying the United Nations and an overview of the UN agencies based in Geneva.
Lewis Scott, regional director for UKTI South East, commented: "Having these trade specialists visit Guildford to devote their time to our businesses is a real coup for the region and I'd encourage companies who have an interest in exporting to these countries to take full advantage of this specialist advice.
"These specialists are based in the British embassies or consulates of their countries and, as such, are very well placed to help our local firms."
