Guildford: New partner promotion at RSM
Stuart Clowser, who joined audit, tax and consulting firm RSM as a graduate trainee in 2004, has been promoted to partner in the firm’s audit practice at the Guildford office.
He grew up in Ashtead, studied Maths at Surrey University, qualified as a chartered accountant in 2007 and recently completed the firm’s executive-development training programme.
He works closely with private equity funds, the operating businesses they invest in and owner-managed businesses. He specialises in advising high-growth and acquisitive businesses and those going through internal and operational change; and he has particular experience in advising private-equity, property and technology companies. He also has significa
nt experience with financial-reporting requirements in relation to IFRS, UK GAAP and the new FRS 101 and FRS 102 accounting standards.
In his new role, he will focus on growing RSM’s client base among national private-equity and owner-managed businesses across the southern region.

This promotion was one of 19 RSM partner promotions across the UK in April, reflecting the firm’s 26% growth in UK annual revenues to £292 million, and profit rise of 39% to £45m.
