Former executive director at Morgan Stanley and co-founder of Connectegrity, Linda Cheung, has joined the board of Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP). Cheung will be focusing on entrepreneurship, innovation and communications, and will be joining the expansion fund steering group, which provides leadership and strategic guidance for the LEP’s £5.5 million expansion fund - an investment initiative created by Enterprise M3 for businesses looking to grow in the LEP area.

Commenting on her appointment, Linda Cheung said: “I have always been passionate about helping businesses succeed; so joining the LEP board offers a broader platform for me to contribute more significantly. I am excited about this opportunity and look forward to working with other members of the board to drive the LEP’s strategic agenda for entrepreneurship and business growth in our area.”

Cheung has had a successful career in the corporate world. After a stint with KPMG, she moved to Morgan Stanley where she rose to become an executive director/European chief operating officer, in charge of Institutional Securities Financing. She was ranked number 8 on City AM’s Women in the City Powerlist when it launched in 2015, and was awarded a CIMA fellowship for her accomplishments. Cheung left the City after 15 years, to co-found Connectegrity - the award-winning team behind social media start-up, CubeSocial.

She actively promotes enterprise and helps entrepreneurs build successful businesses by sharing her vast knowledge through non-executive director roles, accelerator programmes and public speaking.

Geoff French, CBE, chair of enterprise M3 LEP, said: “We are delighted that Linda has joined our board, as she brings with her a wealth of commercial knowledge and experience. These will be invaluable in helping us build on the significant achievements already made by Enterprise M3 to support business growth in our area.”
