Hampshire: Global award for Taylor Made at multinational industry summit
IT services provider Taylor Made Computer Solutions has been recognised as a world leader – taking home a top award from a global industry summit.
Managing director Tim Walker travelled to Toronto for the 2015 Asigra Global Partner Summit, which celebrates the best in the world in the fields of data backup and recovery.
There, Taylor Made took the award for Best Cloud Backup and Recovery Implementation for its work with The Southern Co-operative.
Taylor Made, based on the Cams Hall Estate, Fareham, provides full managed services solutions to The Southern Co-operative to support its 200 back office staff, based at 1000 Lakeside in Portsmouth, and its network of funeral homes across the south.
The award was in recognition of Taylor Made’s implementation of its Securo Backup and Recovery Solution, which is based on the Asigra platform.
The implementation was praised for a number of features including Taylor Made’s new Securo pricing model which means that clients who use the backup facility less often are charged lower fees.
Among Taylor Made staff who were credited with its success were head of new business Rhys Meale, who worked on the proposition with The Southern Co-Operative; head of service operations Pete Hughes, who supported the bid commercially and technically; and engineer Trevor Smith, who delivered the solution to the customer.
Walker said: “I’m delighted that the team at Taylor Made has secured this well-deserved win. We are justifiably proud of our highly-flexible and cost-efficient Securo platform and to be recognised as a world leader for its implementation is a huge achievement.”
Asigra Cloud Backup is the industry’s leading cloud-based data recovery software with over one million installations worldwide.
