Hampshire: Morgan IAT wins second Queen’s Award
Nigel Atkinson, Her Majesty’s lord lieutenant of Hampshire, recently presented the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade to Petersfield-based Morgan Innovation and Technology. The firm won the award previously in 2011.
Before the presentation, Howard Clarke, the company’s founder and research director, took attendees on a tour of the business. Guests viewed some of the latest leading-edge products, including a brand new anti-snoring device, and mOm, a collapsible, electronically-controlled baby incubator.
One attendee was James Roberts, inventor of mOm and global winner of the 2014 James Dyson award for innovation.
Atkinson said: “Such an award should be held in high regard by any recipient as it is for outstanding achievement by a UK business.”
Nigel Clarke, CEO of Morgan IAT, responded: “It’s been a fantastic day and an opportunity to share what is a very special occasion for the Morgan family, with everybody who has made this possible.”
