Hampshire: RBS funding package supports roll out of cancer treatment centres
Pioneering provider of radiotherapy and other cancer treatments, Cancer Partners UK, has received a significant funding package from The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) to open further treatment centres across the UK.
The Hampshire-based company established in 2006 by healthcare specialist investor, Apposite Capital, has successfully opened a network of eight purpose-built centres across the UK in areas including Surrey, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and the Midlands, and has further plans in the pipeline to open additional centres across the UK over the next three years.
Each centre has been individually designed to meet the needs of the local area and to provide the highest standard of care to patients.
The funding package provided by RBS will enable Cancer Partners UK to drive forward its expansion, with the new centres providing radiotherapy, diagnostic and chemotherapy services using the latest technology and clinical best practice.
Lorraine Lander, director of Cancer Partners UK, commented: "We have grown the company rapidly over an eight-year period which is mainly due to our continued innovation, investment in the latest technology and the high level of service we provide at our centres.
“With the support of RBS we now have the opportunity to fulfil our business aspirations and we are appreciative for the continued belief they have demonstrated. Exciting times are ahead as we look to extend our geographical footprint and provide more treatment centres across the UK, providing a high level of care for those patients living with cancer.”
David Floyd, relationship director at RBS, added: “The team at Cancer Partners UK is testament to their success story so far. They constantly strive to deliver the most advanced cancer treatments, provide high level detail to all their individual centres and have a passion to build on their success year on year.”
