Hampshire: Warner Goodman to host 'Doing Business Abroad' event
In Southampton on October 15, Warner Goodman Commercial is hosting an evening of presentations on the advantages and pitfalls of “Doing Business Abroad”.
There is no charge for the event, which is aimed at SMEs interested in trading, expanding or operating overseas.
By some estimates, the decision to trade internationally can result in profit and income increases of over 20%, says Warner Goodman. It is for this reason that the Government has placed such a high priority on encouraging international trade among British SMEs.
The seminar will focus primarily on trading with the United States and the European mainland and will cover issues that are of most concern to SMEs including cross-border tax considerations and the treatment of VAT.
As well as external speakers, the presentations will include members of the Warner Goodman International Commercial team, with Geoffrey Sturgess discussing the challenges of international contracts; US attorney at law and UK solicitor Jonathan Strassberg presenting on how to minimise the commercial risk when trading in or with America; and Aled Williams advising on how to trade with the Far East.
