Oxfordshire: Howbery Business Park says farewell to chief executive and welcomes new team
Howbery Business Park in Oxfordshire, owned by HR Wallingford, has appointed Lauren Patterson as finance director. She will head-up Howbery’s commercial property team, alongside new group chief executive Dr Bruce Tomlinson.
Patterson has been appointed to work alongside Tomlinson, following the retirement of John Ormston who was responsible for Howbery’s development for 18 years.
The new structure will see Patterson’s team deal with day-to-day tenant needs, with Tomlinson leading the ongoing development and implementation of HR Wallingford’s strategic plan for Howbery, in addition to all other areas of HR Wallingford’s business.
Patterson joins Howbery Business Park and HR Wallingford from Systems Consultants Services where she was finance director. She brings 17 years' varied experience at both strategic and operational level.
Commenting on her new role, she said: “I’m delighted to join the team and look forward to the variety this role will bring. In terms of Howbery Business Park, our core objective is to progress our existing development opportunities, which will see more businesses join the Howbery community, in addition to providing opportunities for our existing tenants to grow.”
Howbery Business Park has planning permission to create 70,000 sq ft of new office space and continues to work with commercial property agents Carter Jonas and Strutt & Parker to secure a new tenant who would like to take advantage of being able to design and build their own office at the park.
With a sustainable working environment and beautiful grounds, Howbery Business Park has consistently achieved over 95% occupancy. Major occupiers include HR Wallingford, the Environment Agency and GTI Media.
