Reading: The Entrepreneurs' Club calls business leaders to networking event
Business owners, managing directors, CEOs and decision makers of leading local businesses are invited to a gathering at The Entrepreneurs’ Club.
The event takes place on Thursday March 3, at the Holiday Inn, Reading South, from 6.30pm to 10pm.
This is an opportunity for the region’s leaders to network with peers at a relaxed and informal drinks reception with a selection of entrepreneurs, along with guest speaker Matt Franklin, CEO of IT services business Roc Technologies.
Roc Technologies has grown from zero revenues to £16 million turnover in under three years, winning significant contracts in the private and public sectors.
Former winner of the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Franklin has a BA Hons degree in business studies and extensive management experience within IT services.
He was previously the founder and managing director of Prime Business Solutions which he grew organically with zero debt to £30m of revenues in just eight years.
The company was subsequently acquired by a large integrator in 2004, and Franklin remained with the integrator, holding several senior management and business development roles, and supporting the company’s growth to over £450m turnover with 2,500 employees.
In January 2013, the business unexpectedly went into administration. In response, Franklin founded a business called Agibility with three former colleagues which then acquired Roc Technologies – a dormant cabling business. Franklin will discuss his fascinating journey on the evening.
Event hosts are: The Business Magazine, James Cowper Kreston, Penningtons Manches, Santander Corporate & Commercial, the fd centre, Freeman + Clarke, Kleinwort Benson, The Marketing Centre, Vistage and Your Right Hand Finance Team
