Reading: KPMG appoints forensic expert to lead team in the south
KPMG has bolstered its forensic team in Reading with the appointment of Akhlaq Ahmed as director.
Ahmed joins the firm after 10 years at EY, where he was responsible for leading EY’s forensic practice in Reading and Bristol.
In his new role, he will lead KPMG’s established team of forensic experts in Reading and Bristol who work with public and private sector organisations, to help them identify and protect themselves against risks that could result in financial, commercial and reputational loss.
Phil Cotton, regional chairman at KPMG, commented: “While the changing nature of business has created new opportunities for organisations, it has also created new risks and potential threats as fraudsters become ever-more sophisticated. Akhlaq will work closely with our team to help our clients take immediate and decisive action to prevent, detect and respond to potentially-harmful situations.”
