Computer security giant McAfee is to move its UK headquarters to the Urban Building in Slough. Standard Life Investments, on behalf of a segregated fund, said McAfee has signed a 10-year lease for 19,500 sq ft on the sixth and seventh floors of the Urban Building.
The business is relocating from its current UK headquarters on Bath Road and will join existing tenants such as KP Snacks, Mycom, NSL & Lupin.
Jason Baggaley, fund manager at Aberdeen Standard Investments, said: “McAfee’s decision is testament to the quality and flexibility of the Urban Building. Slough itself was recently named as the UK’s ‘best place to work’, attracting brands such as O2, Mars, Oracle and Microsoft. In our view, the Urban Building is a good example of the type of building tenants want to occupy, which is why it has been successful at attracting such major companies.”
Standard Life Investments was advised by Colliers International & JLL. McAfee was advised by Cushman & Wakefield.
