Solent: Portsmouth Marriott Hotel drives eco-friendly change
At the Portsmouth Marriott Hotel guests can now 'fill up' on free charging for their electric cars, in a project supported by the Portsmouth City Council, Craig Lamberton and the Sustainable Transport project fund.
Leading the way for eco-minded, south coast hotels, the Portsmouth Marriott’s latest offering enables travellers to charge their cars during their meal or stay.
"This new feature combines two compelling ways to recharge," says the Hotel. "As guests revitalise themselves by staying the night or enjoying a lunch or dinner in the Sealevel Restaurant & Lounge, they can access complimentary charging for their electric vehicles."
As a leading green hotel in the UK, the property has deftly balanced responsible hospitality with the sorts of amenities modern travellers demand. So while the hotel offers charging for electric cars, its AA-Rosette winning Sealevel specialises in seafood dishes and uses only sustainable sources, it recycles 100% of its waste, and is currently replacing its lights with the latest LED options.
