South: Kleinwort Hambros hosts events for region's professionals
How to negotiate the investment landscape in the wake of Trump, Brexit and the upcoming French presidential elections, and the different stages of entrepreneurial wealth creation, were the hot topics at recent events hosted by Kleinwort Hambros.
Forty business professionals from the Southern region gathered for a Kleinwort Hambros hosted breakfast in Reading and lunch at the Hotel du Vin in Winchester. The events, held at least semi-annually by SGPB Hambros, have proved popular with local business professionals over the past seven years.
SGPB Hambros has become Kleinwort Hambros following the acquisition of Kleinwort Benson by Societe Generale in June last year and its subsequent merger with SBPG Hambros which is expected during the course of this year.
Rebecca Constable, who heads up the Kleinwort Hambros Newbury office and co-hosted the events with fellow senior private bankers Daniel Way and Jeremy Hill, said: “As part of our continued commitment to clients in the region, our breakfast and lunch events are designed to give attendees a valuable insight into what we are advising our clients from an investment perspective. In view of current global economic uncertainty, our guests said they found the event invaluable as they seek to navigate the investment landscape and provide the best advice possible.”
Guests, including Peter Laurie and David Murray of The Business Magazine, listened as a senior director of discretionary management at Kleinwort Hambros, offered a detailed insight into the global economy as it continues to emerge from the 2008 financial crisis. Paul Bentley, head of entrepreneurs at Kleinwort Hambros discussed the wealth creation lifecycle of entrepreneurs and outlined how the firm can help entrepreneurs as they grow and, eventually, sell their businesses.
