South: Spectrum Corporate Finance promotes James Mines to director
Spectrum Corporate Finance is delighted to announce that James Mines has recently been promoted to director within the firm. This promotion brings the director team at Spectrum to six, reaffirming the firms position as the largest and most experienced independent corporate finance boutique in the South, focused on lead and debt advisory.
Mines joined Spectrum in 2014, and works across a wide range of clients, including private equity buy-side roles, and sales to both trade and PEy. He has completed 12 deals in the past 12 months, with a total aggregate value of £183 million including the investment by LDC into Rush Hair & Beauty, the sale of Raymond Brown Minerals & Recycling to management backed by Elysian Capital and the sale of MTI Europe to Endless Private Equity. In addition, Mines has provided buy-side advice to private equity and their portfolio companies, successfully completing nine bolt-on acquisitions in the past year.
He recently advised LDC through its investment into Rush Hair and Beauty – a deal which was named Mid-range Deal of the Year at the 2017 Thames Valley Deals Awards. Mines was also a finalist in the Young Dealmaker of the Year category at the 2017 Thames Valley Deals Awards.
In 2016 Mines advised on the sale of Raymond Brown Minerals & Recycling to management backed by Elysian Capital – a very complex deal which involved a de-merger process, restructure and sale to a PE investor. The Raymond Brown deal was shortlisted as a finalist in the Mid-range Deal of the Year category at the recent 2017 Solent Deals Awards.
