Thames Valley: B P Collins appoints new head of marketing and business development
Leading Buckinghamshire law firm B P Collins LLP has appointed Gina Connell as its new head of marketing and business development.
The move marks a return to an in-house role for the experienced marketing professional who has spent the past six years in a client adviser role at specialist legal information provider LexisNexis.
“I’m really looking forward to the opportunity of working with the team at B P Collins and finding new and innovative ways to help grow the business,” said Connell. “I will be drawing on the experiences gained both in-house and through my work with most of the legal sector at LexisNexis.”
Connell’s key focus will be on improving business development and client relationship management, and she continued: “In my previous role I was dealing with around 70 law firms on a regular basis, giving them advice but then having to step back. Now, as part of an in-house team, I’m keen to be involved in putting that advice into practice, using the latest technology to provide the analytics we need to make informed decisions and being part of the growth strategy moving forward.”
Prior to joining LexisNexis, she was senior manager business development and client relationship management at law firm Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP, and she has some 20 years’ experience in the professional services arena.
Chris Hardy, senior partner at B P Collins, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Gina to the team. She brings great strengths – not only does she have extensive experience in marketing and business development in the legal sector, but she also understands how we can better use the technology and solutions available to grow our client base and continue to provide the highest levels of service that our clients demand.”
