Thames Valley: Blandy & Blandy ranked among top planning law firms
Planning Magazine’s 2015 law survey ranks Blandy & Blandy at 23 in its list of the top 50 firms nationally, placing it above leading international and City firms. Published annually, the rankings are compiled based on peer-led interviews and research.
Working closely with planning consultants and other specialist advisers, the firm is regularly instructed by developers, landed estates, investors, financiers and individuals on all aspects of planning and environmental law.
The largest dedicated planning team in the region, it continues to advise major clients in relation to some of the most strategically important projects in the Thames Valley, following previous involvement in high-profile sites such as Green Park, M4 Junction 11, Thames Valley Science Park and large-scale housing developments.
Partner Karen Jones, head of the planning and environmental team, is a legal associate of the Royal Town Planning Institute, an accredited member of The Law Society planning law panel, and is highly experienced in strategic planning advice, planning appeals, public inquiries and environmental law.
Simon Dimmick, chairman of the firm and a partner in the planning team, is involved in a number of high-level strategic planning projects for the region, is renowned for his advice on planning strategy and development considerations and is active in this role for several major landowner clients.
Jones commented: “I am delighted that our team’s commitment to providing our clients with a first-rate service and advice that really adds value has been recognised in these rankings.”
