Construction services company ISG has shown its support for innovative social enterprises by creating high-spec office facilities for GROW@Green Park.

An innovative fusion space offering co-working and lab facilities in a start-up accelerator hub, GROW@Green Park is part of ConnectTVT – the platform aimed at putting the Thames Valley back on the tech cluster map.

ISG’s ambitious 2020 sustainability vision has a key focus on supporting and enriching the communities where the company works, creating a positive and long-lasting legacy. The pro-bono work for GROW@Green Park saw ISG provide budget, design and functionality advice, as well as the delivery of the Cat B fit-out of the office space at 250 South Oak Way at the Green Park business community, Reading.

These new facilities will enable ConnectTVT to provide desk space, mentoring and event support for Thames Valley start-up and growing businesses from GROW@Green Park.

ISG’s Reading-based project team provided management services and delivered a flexible and creative ‘drop-in’ facility for GROW@Green Park’s freelance, start-up and scale-up community. ISG also provided technical support for the roll-out of an audio visual and furniture installation.

Graeme White, ISG’s divisional director, commented: “Alongside Oxford Properties, who have played a central role in this important initiative, we recognised the significance that organisations like ConnectTVT can have as the catalyst to stimulate regional economic growth through spaces like GROW@Green Park. This is a really impressive business that has a clear focus on providing tech start-ups with advice and support, and we’re delighted to have played a role in transforming ConnectTVT’s vision into reality at Green Park.”

Louize Clarke, co-founder of ConnectTVT and GROW@Green Park, added: “We wouldn’t have the space we have now if ISG hadn’t stepped up and delivered these excellent facilities for us. When you are trying to create a start-up community you have to lead by example but to get up and running would have taken us a lot of time. We are now in place to provide this valuable service to regional business owners much earlier than anticipated.”
