Thames Valley: Osborne Clarke retains all its qualified trainees
Reading-based law firm Osborne Clarke has retained 100% of its spring qualifiers, with all six trainees staying on as newly qualified solicitors. The trainees will be based across Osborne Clarke's three UK offices in London, Bristol and the Thames Valley.
They include:
- Anna Mattingley, Thames Valley, corporate finance
- Eleanor Wiseman, London, real-estate
- Kate Robinson, London, corporate finance
- Peter Barratt, Bristol, commercial
- Charlotte Guest, Bristol, real-estate
- Rachael Oakley, London, employment
This is the third strong retention rate result in a row for Osborne Clarke; last autumn the firm kept on 92% of its qualifying trainees and also retained all seven qualifiers in the spring of 2016.
Partner Catherine Wolfenden, training principal at Osborne Clarke, said: "Our award-winning trainee programme ensures each trainee is given the guidance they need to succeed. We constantly get feedback from our trainees that they feel supported by colleagues and Partners, but equally they are given responsibility to manage matters."
Ray Berg, managing partner UK, Osborne Clarke, commented: "Congratulations to our spring qualifiers, it's great that all of our trainees will be staying on. We place a huge emphasis on supporting our people, especially those just starting out, because we know how important it is to have a solid platform to build their careers."
