Thames Valley: Property Awards are an outstanding success

Scott Witchalls sat open-mouthed and astounded at the 2017 Thames Valley Property Awards last night, staged at Ascot Racecourse.

The Peter Brett Associates (PBA) partner had just been announced as this year’s recipient of the prestigious Outstanding Contribution Award, in front of a TVPA record attendance of 570 of his professional peers and colleagues from the Thames Valley’s vibrant property sector.

It was the biggest property event in the region outside London – and presenter John Inverdale kept the awards flowing as developers, agents, housebuilders, investors, lawyers, and consultants from across the residential and commercial sectors networked until midnight.

Witchalls gained his deserved honour as recognition of his unstinting work  “. . . across the Thames Valley and wider afield on major pieces of transport infrastructure; someone who has helped generate inward investment and growth by stimulating development – whether for major housing sites, transport interchanges or business parks.”

Outside his PBA role, Witchalls has served on bodies such as Reading CIC and the Thames Valley Economic Partnership, and is renowned for his strategic thinking, as well as his ability to roll up his sleeves and drill down to find practical solutions on his schemes, said the TVPA awarding panel.

Images from the evening can be found on the Thames Valley Property Awards website. Overall there were 15 category awards at the sell-out gala-dinner evening, and the full winners’ details were:
