Thames Valley: Top tech boss at Women in Business dinner
Adam Hale, executive vice-president of Sage People, who ran the fastest-growing technology scale-up in the UK, Reading-based Fairsail, is on the panel for the upcoming Women in Business gala dinner at Oakley Hall, near Basingstoke.
Hale has spent over 30 years in the technology industry, most recently as Fairsail CEO since October 2013. Fairsail is a cloud software firm which became the fastest growing technology scale-up in the UK. The business grew 1,000% in three years until 2016 from £1 million to £10m revenue before acquisition by Sage plc for £115m in March 2017 to become Sage People.
Sage People is headquartered in Reading and operates globally with a team of 200 in five countries including many women. Prior to that, Hale was head of global software and European technology at Russell Reynolds Associates.
Following a degree in computer science in the mid-1980s he spent a decade running implementation projects at Accenture.
Hale joins an illustrious panel of guest speakers at the Women in Business awards dinner, including Lauren Sayeski, chief public affairs and comms officer at Coca Cola and Annabel Bosher - daughter of Mary Berry - and founder of The Great Taste Company.
