Tring: Grass Roots creates new role of global account director
Grass Roots, the world’s leading provider of employee and customer engagement solutions, has appointed David Taylor to the newly-created role of global account director, with sole focus on opportunities with WPP.
WPP is one of Grass Roots’ major shareholders and is the world's largest communications services group, employing 170,000 people at 3,000 offices in 110 countries.
As an affiliate of WPP, The Grass Roots Group has created this dedicated position in order to concentrate the strength and reach of its route to market, and to enable advanced benefits and value for both organisations’ extensive client bases.
Taylor will split his time between his existing ‘strategic meetings management’ sales role for the Grass Roots meetings and events division and this new opportunity. He will be responsible for progressing a global strategic plan, identifying the most appropriate offerings and recommending various investments as necessary.
As a result of Taylor’s appointment, Hannah Wilkinson will step up to take sole responsibility for sales and account management for the meetings and events division, and Sue Massey will extend her head of operations role to also look after ‘strategic meetings management’ implementation.
John Bunting, chief commercial officer, commented: “I would like to congratulate David on his new role. The potential for growth through partnering with WPP is enormous and will only benefit both parties. We have no doubt it will also create significant value for all our clients – existing and prospective. David has an outstanding track-record and has the knowledge and expertise to introduce many of Grass Roots’ integrated solutions to a wider audience."
