West Sussex: Oceanair appoints new superyacht business manager

Chichester-based Oceanair, the world’s leading manufacturer of marine blinds, shades and soft furnishings, has appointed Tom Pickles in the new role of superyacht business manager.

Pickles' new role will involve driving sales of Oceanair’s products on to European superyachts with a focus on liaising with designers, yards and interior contractors, and raising the profile of Oceanair’s comprehensive turn-key service of blind design integration to survey, manufacturing, installation and after-sales care.

The position will also include working alongside Oceanair’s design and technical team on new product development.

Having worked at Oceanair for nine years as a technical project manager for superyacht blind deliveries, Pickles is excited about the new challenge: “It is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the conception stage of projects and I am looking forward to hearing first hand from designers about their visions for yacht interiors and how we can develop products to help achieve their aims.”
