Whiteley: Peach Telecom spearheads growth with IT company acquisition
Peach Telecom has acquired IT support company Nexus Business Group.
Whiteley-based Peach will now offer its 3,000 existing customers a wealth of managed IT services and solutions, including a suite of cloud services not limited to: backup and disaster recovery, antivirus and security, hosted email, hardware and support.
The acquisition sees Nexus managing director Gareth McQuaid join the board and become IT director at Peach. He said: “Our customers are pleased with the move as they will be able to take advantage of Peach’s end-to-end portfolio.”
McQuaid’s designation signifies Peach’s second key appointment within six months, further strengthening the board and expediting Peach’s expansion into the mid-market, where it is currently realising a strong demand ahead of expectations.
Peach CEO Darren Scott-Healey added: “With the convergence of telecommunications and IT, the acquisition has come at a perfect time. We are thrilled to welcome Nexus customers to the Peach family and to be able to offer a more comprehensive range of solutions to current and potential customers. We look forward to being their managed service provider.”
The deal with Nexus will facilitate Peach’s goal of becoming one of the top technology providers to UK businesses.
Previously based in Southampton, Nexus was dedicated to helping SMEs manage their IT smartly, efficiently and with practical costs.
