Banbury: County Pumps expands with Barclays' support
An Oxfordshire-based leading specialist in fuel dispensing systems, including installations, repairs, servicing, emergency breakdown and fuel monitoring systems has expanded into new premises after four decades of sustained growth, supported by a six-figure funding package from Barclays.
Founded in 1977 by two petroleum engineers, County Pumps now boasts a UK-wide client base, installing daily a wide range of products from basic hand fuel dispensing pumps to sophisticated commercial fuel dispensing systems with fuel management. The firm previously operated from premises at Shutford, Oxfordshire.
Alison Newport, sales director at County Pumps, said: “The new premises will provide us with the space to expand capacity, leverage efficiencies and allow us to continue to remain our customers’ supplier of choice. We’re delighted that Barclays has provided the funding for the move which will secure the future of the business and take us into our next phase of growth.”
The move to its new 1,000 sq ft premises at Apollo Park, Wroxton, Banbury, will provide the business with additional capacity for future growth. The firm employs a team of 11 and remains an independent privately-owned company.
Richard Huddleston, Barclays business manager, Oxfordshire, said: “It’s great to see a local business expanding and contributing to the local economy. The firm is very experienced in this niche market and is continuing to grow. We are fully committed to supporting the business as it looks to build on its success and expand its order book now and in the future.”
