Coinciding with the launch of Reading’s fourth bid for city status, more than 200 people from business, the arts, charities and the public sector recently gathered to discuss how better connectivity could continue to unlock the area’s potential. The event was organised by Grant Thornton in collaboration with Reading UK CIC, Grow@GreenPark and Connect Reading.

Jim Rogers, practice leader at Grant Thornton Thames Valley, said: "One of the key issues for us to tackle is how we can help connect Reading’s thriving large businesses with its ambitious start-ups to foster innovation. We know that the biggest change comes from focusing on the right questions, sharing what is working already and building on that to move forward."

Ideas can be shared via the online forum, VibrantReading.com.
