Bicester: Self-build and customised houses planned at Graven Hill development
The UK's first major self-build project, over 464 acres at Bicester, will provide more than 1,900 new homes in the next decade.
The development at Graven Hill will also include a primary school, sports pavilion, pub/restaurant, pre-school nursery, cafes and shops.
Graven Hill is located just south of central Bicester and will include plots for self-build homes as well as custom-build new homes where the buyer can customise internal layouts and finishes.
Part of the wider Graven Hill development has been set aside for one million sq ft of commercial land. This is expected to create hundreds of jobs in the years ahead.
Construction of the Village Centre started in early 2017. This area will be the main community hub of the development.
There are plans for a cafe, local shops, a pub and a pre-school nursery. Premises suitable for small businesses will also be available in this area of the site, providing opportunities for local entrepreneurs to be part of the new Graven Hill community.
Commercial sites are being marketed by White Commercial.
