Bracknell: SEGRO boosts its Thames Valley land bank with 13-acre acquisition
SEGRO plc has acquired a 13-acre prime development site in Bracknell as part of its plan to replenish its strategically-located land bank and drive growth through development.
The site on Ellesfield Avenue, Southern Industrial Estate, is less than a mile from the A329(M) and four miles from the M4 motorway. It offers easy access to the road networks – ideal for distribution companies and those who need to be close to their customers to meet their demands.
The site will house between five and six mid-size units up to 90,000 sq ft in size and will be built on a speculative and pre-let basis.
SEGRO's Thames Valley business unit director Gareth Osborn said: "There is an increasing demand for quality, well-located industrial property. Buying this new site in Bracknell means that we are able to meet that need and develop modern, environmentally-green facilities that are in the right place for our target customers.”
Household brands such as Waitrose and Panasonic are also on the Southern Industrial Estate which provides a base from which urban logistic and distribution businesses can access the Thames Valley region.
SEGRO was advised by Lambert Smith Hampton.
