KPMG has advised on the sale of MCSA Group, based at Wooburn Green, near High Wycombe, to Park Place Technologies, the US-headquartered and world’s leading post-warranty data-centre maintenance firm.

Over the past 40 years, MCSA has delivered business-critical IT support and managed services to customers in both the private and public sector. It has depth of experience in supporting data-centre infrastructure and a strong reputation for delivering a customer-centric approach.

As a result of the acquisition, MCSA’s customers will benefit from Park Place Technologies’ advanced solutions, including its AI-enhanced 24-hour remote monitoring technology.

MCSA founder and chairman Roger Timms said: “We are excited to join the Park Place Technologies family as we combine our enterprise expertise and service capabilities to support customers worldwide. This is an excellent fit and builds on the service excellence and customer support which is at the heart of both companies.”

Chris Adams, president and CEO, Park Place Technologies, said: “MCSA’s heritage of providing end-to-end IT services and solutions, makes them a welcome addition to the Park Place Technologies family. MCSA’s depth of experience supporting the data-centre infrastructure of customers is highly regarded. With this acquisition of MCSA, Park Place will be the largest TPM in Europe. We look forward to welcoming MCSA’s customers and bringing our award-winning proactive maintenance services and support to MCSA’s customers, while expanding our ability to service current and new customers in the UK.”

KPMG’s team was led by Sami Fairris, supported by Gemma Legg and Jaye Hassan.

Fairris added: “Our local Thames Valley team is delighted to have supported MCSA’s shareholders on this cross-border deal, leveraging KPMG’s international reach to help deliver a great result for all parties. Park Place Technologies is an ideal fit for MCSA, which I’m sure will help to further accelerate the business’ impressive growth trajectory.”

The sale was further supported by Thames Valley law firm Moorcrofts, and due diligence provider RSM.

The brand, MCSA, formed in 2015 combining two long held company names, Maindec Computer Solutions and CSA Waverley.
