Buckinghamshire & Plymouth: Carval creates new account management function
Carval Computing, a specialist supplier of fully-integrated human resources, payroll and time & attendance (T&A) software, has appointed Laura Buchanan to head up its new account management function. The greenfield role has been created to accommodate rapid business growth over the past 12 months which saw Carval increase turnover by 30% and sign 40 new contracts.
Prior to joining, Buchanan was senior business development representative at School Business Services (SBS), where she worked with customers to successfully launch the organisation’s mobile asset management application, helping schools to save money and comply with mandatory requirements by recording their mobile equipment accurately.
Buchanan started her career at Johnston Press where she was media partner, managing the company’s existing client base and creating new opportunities with a wide range of advertisers. During her ten-year tenure, she designed commercially-driven campaigns that achieved maximum return on investment for clients, and as a result continually exceeded her monthly targets.
Commenting on her appointment, Buchanan said, “I feel privileged to be joining Carval at such an exciting time. It has gained an excellent reputation in the marketplace for fostering a positive working environment that brings out the very best in people.“
John Ovington, sales and support director, said: “Carval continues to go from strength to strength and we need to keep our eye firmly on the ball by delivering excellent customer service to both new and existing clients. With her can-do attitude and proven experience in customer service, Laura has exactly the qualities we need to stay ahead of the game.”
