Chandler's Ford: New construction company formed
A fledgling construction company has got off to a good start with three of its four properties sold several months before completion.
Chandler's Ford-based Hillcroft Builders was launched by Adrian Lewis and his wife Helen who, when seeking funding for their first project, switched their banking to Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets.
Hillcroft's initial development, built across land behind the Lewis's house in Leigh Road and an adjacent plot, comprises a detached house, two semi-detached properties and a bungalow. With completion due in the second quarter of 2007, Adrian is delighted to have secured buyers for three of the dwellings.
Tim Straker, relationship director at Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets, worked closely with Adrian and Helen to get the project off the ground.
"We were pleased to step in and help with funding for this development," he said. "The bank's extensive resources and policy of taking fast lending decisions make us the natural choice for commercial property funding. We're keen to lend and offer good rates, as well as the flexibility to structure deals to suit a customer's requirements."
Adrian, who has extensive experience as a project manager in building services for a national company, is now turning his attention to Hillcroft's next venture.
"We are looking for a suitable site for our second development," he said.
"Tim and his team have been extremely helpful during our first project and we're looking forward to working with them again during what I hope will be a long and fruitful relationship."
