Crawley: Vulcascot expands internationally
Crawley-based distribution company, Vulcascot, has expanded as a major international operator with the assistance of The Royal Bank of Scotland.
Vulcascot has been operating since 1911 and has a very big presence in the UK, with an ever increasing presence in mainland Europe. It specialises in the production of the world's largest range of floor laid cable protection systems designed to prevent accidents in the office and damage to cables. Produced from a fire retardant smoke and halogen free rubber polyamide, the range consists of some thirty different hole configurations, all of which contribute to a cleaner and safer environment. Vulcascot is about to launch a see-through cable protector featuring an inbuilt light strip to bring added safety in darkened public areas. Other sales divisions within this progressive organisation include the supply of cut-to-size sheets to a complete cross-section of industry.
As it continues to look to source materials, in particular the Far East, Vulcascot was looking for a bank that could provide them with a range of international banking solutions and a suitable structured funding package.
Adam Turrell, associate director of International Banking Services and Mark Campbell, RBS Invoice Finance in Crawley were quick to respond with an offer to assist the Company with their business requirements and have since put facilities in place to allow Vulcascot to trade more efficiently. Anthony Keevill and Barry Copeman, joint managing directors from Vulcascot, worked closely with the RBS team to enable this to happen. Combined, the team managed to achieve their objectives and move the business in the direction they aspired to.
Anthony Keevil commented: “The package of facilities offered by RBS distinguished them from the competition. Adam and Mark were very hands on at getting to understand our business and I appreciate the time, advice and key financial solutions they provided to enable the transaction to take place and our business strategy to be realised.”
