Farnham: Facilitas Brade goes into administration
Ian Corfield and David Crawshaw of KPMG have been appointed joint administrators of Facilitas Brade.
The company, based in Farnham, Surrey, specialised in building services, performing responsive maintenance work for Housing Associations in the Surrey and Hampshire area, together with construction project work. A total of 52 staff were employed by the company.
Ian Corfield, joint administrator and director at KPMG, said: “Due to tough trading conditions in the sector, combined with contractual disputes, Facilitas Brade has encountered significant financial problems which resulted in the Directors taking the decision to cease operations.”
The company has now ceased trading with 48 employees made redundant on July 3, 2009. The remaining staff will assist the administrators with their duties.
The joint administrators will now be exploring opportunities for the disposal of the remaining assets of the business.
Facilitas Brade is owned by the Facilitas Group, which is not subject to an insolvency process.
