Godalming: Arrow expands into Scotland with acquisition of Aberdeen-based Orca Telecom
Arrow Business Communications has announced its purchase of Orca Telecom, its sixth acquisition in the last five years.
Orca Telecom, based in Aberdeen, is a leading telecommunications supplier and Arrow says it will be a perfect complement with its similar range of fixed, mobile, voice and data solutions. It will significantly boost revenues and allow Arrow to provide local support to its Scottish customer base.
Arrow, which has its head office at Lower Eashing, near Godalming, is headed by Chris Russell, and specialises in telephony and IT solutions for businesses.
“We identified Orca as an ideal match for Arrow both in product range and location as we already have a number of customers in Aberdeen,” Russell said.
Orca’s employees will remain with Arrow, allowing them to continue to look after their customers whilst benefitting from the use of Arrow's larger resources and expertise. This acquisition will increase Arrow’s total turnover to £26 million as well as providing a substantial footing in the Scottish telecoms market.
Wayne Mackay, director of Orca Telecom, said: “We are excited about working with Arrow as we share the same suppliers and, more importantly, the same culture of providing a personal service to business customers."
