Hampshire: Moore Blatch promotes property expert and arborist to partner
Law firm Moore Blatch, which has offices across the South East, including Southampton and Lymington, has promoted property lawyer and consulting arborist George Gilpin to partner in its Richmond office.
Gilpin, who is believed to be the only solicitor in the country with formal qualifications in the specialism of arboristry, has 15 years’ experience in the property sector and has been with Moore Blatch for over two years. He also specialises in residential and commercial conveyancing and general property issues.
David Thompson, managing partner at Moore Blatch, said: “George is a key member of the Moore Blatch property team and is crucial to its future growth and development. His new position as a partner reflects his knowledge, experience and legal insight both locally and nationally of a wide range of property-related legal issues.
"George’s arboricultural expertise has also proven invaluable to clients purchasing properties with protected trees nearby, as well as to clients making planning applications requiring specialist arboricultural reports.”
Gilpin added: “I am extremely pleased with the promotion to partnership. Moore Blatch is a leading law firm with ambitious plans for further growth in Richmond and across the South East and I am delighted to be part of the team.”
