Havant: British Maids set to clean up
British Maids, the Havant-based cleaning company, is set to purchase new headquarters after securing a £126,000 finance package from Santander Corporate & Commercial.
Launched in 1973 by the parents of the current co-owner Natasha Waldron, this second-generation family business provides high-quality cleaning services for domestic and commercial properties across the Havant area. Waldron and her partner manage the business together, with Waldron in charge of business development and her partner monitoring quality control. The company has a specific focus on staff development through staff loyalty schemes and an NVQ training programme, which helps keep employee turnover low and rewards staff for their commitment to the business.
The acquisition will help British Maids free up capital to invest into the business through savings on administration and costs. The business had previously been based in two separate rented properties, five miles apart, but will now be able to move all staff to a single unit.
Waldron said: “This move marks an exciting development for British Maids and we are very optimistic it will provide a good base for us to further expand our presence in the local area and beyond. We remain fully committed to the development and training of our staff and are delighted to be able to house everyone in one place.”
Jacqui Gregory, relationship director for Santander Corporate & Commercial, said: “British Maids is a well-established business with a strong work ethic. Natasha and Rene are fully committed to the business and their staff and have an excellent reputation within the area. They have run the business together successfully for the past six years and we hope this move allows them to continue driving the business forward.”
